La carrera por el Oscar: Nominaciones a los Critics Choice Awards 2013

Ya conocemos los nominados a los Critics Choice Awards 2013. Si comparamos la lista de nominadas a la Mejor Película podemos observar que poco se diferencia del listado de las 10 mejores películas publicado por el American Film Institute, dejando fuera ‘El Caballero Oscuro: La Leyenda Renace’ e introduciendo a ‘The Master’ (una elección más acorde con el criterio de la Academia, nos aventuramos a señalar). Su ausencia se compensa, no obstante, con sus nominaciones en la categoría de “películas de acción”.

Los ganadores serán anunciados en la ceremonia de los Critics Choice Movie Awards que tendrá lugar el jueves 10 de enero. De entre los nominados lidera la lista en número de candidaturas la nueva película de Steven Spielberg, ‘Lincoln’, cuyo protagonista Daniel Day-Lewis se encuentra cada vez más cerca de conseguir el Oscar a la mejor interpretación masculina.

Destaca principalmente la presencia de Javier Bardem en la categoría de Mejor Actor Secundario por su estupenda interpretación en la última entrega de 007, 'Skyfall'. La película española 'Lo Imposible' también se encuentra presente, si bien por las interpretaciones de Naomi Watts y Tom Holland.

‘Lincoln’ recibe así un total de 13 nominación superando el anterior récord de 12 nominaciones marcado por ‘Cisne Negro’ en 2011. Le siguen de cerca ‘Los Miserables’ con 11 nominaciones,  ‘El lado bueno de las cosas’ con un total de 10 nominaciones y ‘La vida de Pi’ que cuenta con 9 nominaciones.

El presidente de la BFCA (Broadcast Film Choice Award) ha afirmado que "este ha sido un año espectacular en el cine". Ha subrayado asimismo que "para reconocer los logros notables de todo todos los géneros del cine hemos añadido varias nuevas categorías este año, incluyendo interpretaciones a menudo pasadas por alto en la comedia y la acción".

Los aficionados al cine podrán además votar por su franquicia favorita y ver cómo el ganador será anunciado en directo en los premios Critics Choice Movie el 10 de enero. Es la primera vez en la historia de los Premios Critics Choice Movie que se concede semejante premio. Los nominados son: Batman, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, James Bond/007, El Señor de los Anillos, Spider-Man, Star Trek, Star Wars, Toy Story y Crepúsculo. 

Desde su creación en 1995, los Premios Critics Choice Movie ha sido un evento lleno de estrellas y un máximo referente en la temporada de premios de cine. Además, históricamente los premios Critics Choice Movie constituyen el predictor más exacto de las nominaciones a los Oscar.
